Tough Love

I came across a great idea for a layout while on Pinterest and thought I'd give the technique a go on a page about giving our cat a tick bath. It was a bit different to my usual style, but was heaps of fun to do and quite simple.

You can see the original here http://www.thecolorrooms.com/3/post/2012/10/october-17th-2012.html

I used kraft cardstock, 7Gypsies stamps, Versamark ink pad, Ranger Walnut Stain ink, Seafoam embossing powder, Crafters workshop stencils, American Crafts thickers, Petaloo flowers, Tattered Angels Cafe Latte, SEI tickets, assorted brads & tag & staples.

Card catchup

Here are a few simple cards I made over Easter:

A couple of layouts

I haven't been doing much scrapbooking of late, but did get an opportunity to do some over Easter. Here are two of the layouts that were completed (the other 3 had a few finishing touches to be added):

Finally got around to doing a layout about my (now 16 year old) daughter's first birthday. Back in those days I just took photo's, nowadays I try & think a bit more about the composition and number of shots I take (wherever possible).

Also kind of ironic that one of the layouts I did was about my isolation room in hospital. My next stay will be in the new building that I watched being built the last two times.

Project Life - March 2013

Finally remembered to post the March layout. It has been sitting waiting patiently for a while now, but better late than never, right?

It's funny, but back when I wrote the journaling card, I wrote "March was all about getting back to normal...". My normal seems to be having another dose of RAI and more isolation and I guess making more cards. Let's hope third time's a charm as this is getting a little bit boring now.

I have a few more posts to catch up on before I go off the air again, so I'd better get busy.
